Biography
Dr. John Hurwitz joined the Hospitalist team at Santa Rosa
Memorial in 2008 leaving a private practice in San Jose
to live in Sonoma
County. Raised in California,
Dr. Hurwitz did his undergraduate work in San
Diego As a
Hospitalist, Dr. Hurwitz is dedicated to caring for patients during their
hospital stay and providing the communication necessary to return care to the
primary care physician once discharged from the hospital setting.
Dr. Hurwitz is very active with several
medical staff committees and currently works with different departments within
the hospital to help assure smooth delivery of services in a compassionate
manner. Dr. Hurwitz is director/
physician advisor for the Case Management Department, helping to support
fiscal responsibility for both patients and the hospital.
He currently lives with his wife in Santa Rosa.
Dr. Hurwitz is an avid cyclist and enjoys the outdoors.
