There is no charge to use the library and most of the materials are available for checkout. The librarian is available on a drop-in or appointment basis to help you research your particular subject. The library is also connected via fax machine to the National Cancer Institute, which will provide current treatment information for all cancer diagnoses. There is a copy machine in the library for use by those who wish to copy reference materials. For those in the library who wish to simply relax, view a videotape or listen to an audiotape, there is a "quiet room" with a comfortable couch, chairs and a soothing fountain. There is a computer in the library that has a dedicated connection to the Internet.
You may also find information about cancer news, conditions, tests, and drugs in the online library.
