Ramzi K. Deeik, M.D.
Cardiovascular Surgeon and Director of Cardiac Surgery
Ramzi K. Deeik, M.D., is Director of Cardiac Surgery at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. He also serves as Director of Surgical Services and Director of Minimally Invasive/Robotic Surgery at Queen of the Valley Hospital in Napa. He is a member of Napa Valley Cardiac and Thoracic Surgery practice.
After receiving his medical degree from Creighton University, Dr. Deeik completed a residency in general surgery at Northwestern University in Chicago, where he was also named Chief Resident and Clinical Instructor. He completed a fellowship in thoracic surgery at Loyola University.
Board certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery,
Dr. Deeik was the recipient of the Residents Research Award in abdominal surgery at the 39th Clinical Congress of the American Society of Abdominal Surgeons and was also nominated for the 1999 Circon Young Researcher Award in minimally invasive surgery.
His professional affiliations include the American College of Surgeons, the Society of Thoracic Surgery, the International Society for Minimally Invasive Surgery, and the International Society for Computer Aided Surgery.
Dr. Deeik has extensive experience in clinical teaching and has published and presented widely in the areas of cardiac surgery, wound infection, laparoscopic surgery, and minimally invasive surgery procedures.
