Jerome B. Riebman, M.D.
Cardiovascular Surgeon
Dr. Jerome B. Riebman, M.D., is an Attending Surgeon in Cardiothoracic Surgery at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital and Attending Surgeon in Cardiothoracic Surgery at Queen of the Valley Hospital in Napa. He is a member of Napa Valley Cardiac and Thoracic Surgery practice.
Dr. Riebman received his medical training at Temple University in Philadelphia, where he also completed a residency in general surgery. He completed an internship in the Department of Internal Medicine at New York Medical College—Metropolitan Hospital Center. A NHLBI research fellowship followed at the Artificial Heart Research Laboratory, Institute for Biomedical Engineering, at the University of Utah, where he was named Director of Surgery. He also completed a residency in cardiovascular and thoracic surgery at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
Named a “Top Doctor” in cardiothoracic surgery for four straight years by San Jose Magazine, Dr. Riebman has won numerous awards, including the American Heart Association Undergraduate Research Award from Temple University and the American Society for Artificial Internal Organs Travel Fellowship.
Dr. Riebman’s professional affiliations include the American College of Surgeons, the American College of Cardiology, The Society of Thoracic Surgeons, the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation, and the Council on Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery.
Dr. Riebman has published and presented extensively on cardiothoracic and cardiovascular surgery, as well as artificial heart technologies.
