The Family Birth Center at Memorial Hospital employs many long-time nurses and support staff who are highly skilled professionals who have attended to thousands of new babies during their careers. A high-risk OB service is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to lend expertise when needed.

Classes and Events
Before and after a child's birth, we offer special classes to prepare new mothers and fathers for the changes they will experience. In anticipation of the delivery, our childbirth classes are frequent and conveniently scheduled. Please refer to the Classes and Events section of our website for a schedule of classes.
Sometimes, you don’t know all the questions to ask until you’ve actually experienced something. After the newborn goes home, our after-care services continue with parenting and breast feeding classes. In these sessions, we help new moms and dads with practical advice, and they learn skills that will help them give their babies the best care possible.

Antenatal Testing Center
The program provides outpatient testing services for pregnant women, including fetal monitoring and ultrasound before delivery.
Growing Together
This is a comprehensive outpatient Perinatal Services Program offered by Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for eligible pregnant wome. It provides prenatal education, childbirth preparation, dietary counseling and parenting education by highly qualified professionals, including private physicians and medical staff including registered nurses, childbirth educators, registered dietitians, social workers, certified nurse-midwives.

Personal Care
Care for you and your baby that starts as soon as you are pregnant and continues for two months after your baby is born.

Medical Care
Regular medical care can help you have a healthy pregnancy. If you do not already have a doctor, we can schedule an appointment with one of our participating physicians at your first visit.

Social Services
Pregnancy is a time of many emotional changes. Our qualified staff at Growing Together will help you think about and sort out your feelings. They may also assist with food, car seats, clothes and other needs.

Health Education
Because this is a time of new responsibilities and choices for you, the staff at Growing Together will help you learn about pregnancy, labor and birth, and how to take care of your baby.

Sweet Success
This program offers multidisciplinary services during preconception, pregnancy and postpartum for women who are diabetic or who develop diabetes during pregnancy.
Infant Nutrition & Lactation Services
Infant Nutrition and Lactation Services are available to new moms at Santa Rosa Memorial and Petaluma Valley Hospitals. The program provides inpatient support and education, as well as telephone support and outpatient breastfeeding consultations.

Home care
Home care nurse visits are also available if you or your baby needs assistance after leaving the hospital
The Intensive Care Nursery
Newborns who need special attention, such as those born early and those who are ill, are cared for in the Intensive Care Nursery at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, directed by Neonatologist Alan Shotkin, M.D. Dr. Shotkin and Dr. Eric Margolis are both full-time specialists in infant care. They also provide assistance as needed for newborns at. Petaluma Valley Hospital. Almost all newborns who need special care can stay close to home here in Sonoma County, rather than being transferred to San Francisco. In addition, our babies enjoy the advantages of a consistent, highly-trained care team, from birth to discharge.For more information see Intensive Care Nursery.

El centro de maternidad familiar del Hospital Memorial de Santa Rosa cuenta con enfermeras altamente capacitadas que tienen muchos años de experiencia y con personal de apoyo calificado que han atendido a miles de recién nacidos durante su vida profesional. Carolyn es justamente un ejemplo de estas enfermeras experimentadas y estos técnicos, quienes le ofrecen ayuda y cuidado para su recién nacido.
Debido a la vasta experiencia del personal de enfermería del Hospital Memorial de Santa Rosa y a su compromiso con el centro de atención familiar, muchas de nuestras enfermeras han continuado su relación con las familias de sus nuevos pequeños pacientes. Cada nacimiento es especial

El Hospital Memorial de Santa Rosa brinda excelente cuidado médico; las pacientes están rodeadas de un ambiente confortable y alegre en el que se les ofrece asistencia, consejos y recursos educativos para que el recién nacido comience su vida en forma saludable.
Ofrecemos clases especiales, tanto antes como después del nacimiento del bebé, para preparar a los futuros padres para el cambio que van a experimentar. Nuestras clases de preparación para el parto se dictan en forma frecuente y en horarios convenientes. Una vez que el recién nacido va a casa, nuestro cuidado continua con clases para padres, clases de lactancia y mediante una línea telefónica especial reservada para las consultas o quejas de los padres nuevos, además de las visitas de la enfermera cada vez que sea necesario.
