- The sixth annual Gene and Evelyn Benedetti Leadership Celebration will be held the evening of Friday, May 8, 2009, at the Sheraton Petaluma to honor the Benedetti Family for their tremendous contribution to our community over the years. Marilyn and Kip Herzog have been chosen as recipients of the 2009 Gene and Evelyn Benedetti leadership Award. A reception begins at 6:00 p.m. followed by dinner and presentation.

- Hospice of Petaluma begins a series of free programs for the public on January 14. Each program is unique but all offer individuals a window into hospice care. Cherishing life, time with those we love, and dying with dignity are some of the themes participants will experience. There are opportunities to take part in readings, hear from local artists, as well as screen a film and join in discussions.
